I like the comment ; Sometimes it’s good for people to linger in a place of worship - ears open to the Spirit!

Sounds like lottering on a street corner to me, it's great to include the youth in our times of worship ;-)

I like to think of every christian as being a worshipper. Worshipping God is a 24/7 thing not just confined to the Sunday morning meeting. There is though; an awesome manifestation of God's Spirit when Christians come together, focus on God and bring prophetic word, sing psalms and spritual songs, and enter in to God' presence

Everyone has something to bring, God speaks to each of us through us by His Holy Sprit, and uses us to bring fresh revelation of who He is. We just need to be open to receive Him, and then be equally as willing to give it out.

As Jesus once said: It is more blessed to give than receive.
(Acts 20:35)

In Colossians 3:16 it says: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

As a worship leader, it's great to see a congregation praising and worshipping God, bringing new songs, prophetic words, testimonies of God's goodness and movements in the Holy Sprit. This Glorifies God, and shows us His magnificence, through each other as a body; His body.

Once the people I'm leading get there, my job is done.

God bless.

I liked your approach to prayer - not praying for them, but encouraging everyone to pray.

See my response here to that list: http://snowjunkie.wordpress.com/2008/08/28/top-10-pet-peeves-about-worship-leaders/

I read the top 10 pet peeves also...this is a good follow-up to that.

I want to see a worshipping team. Not only the praise and worship leader but the musicians, back-up singers even the audio people. I want too see all of them worship all throughout the singing of songs. It would greatly affect the flow and they will be united in a way.

To see musicians worship also is just a melting sight.

Can't get comments on your blog to work, so will put it here instead. What about when the worship team only sing songs in a foreign language that most of the congregation can't understand, and get lots of words wrong coz they don't know it very well either. For some reason trying to get our worship team to sing songs in Tagalog instead of English i... Read Mores harder than pulling teeth! After 6 months I've given up on them and have got some of our teenagers together to form a new band to show the oldies how its really done.
